“This place is disgustingly overpriced! I brought a salt and pepper shaker stand that had $165 on the price tag and I asked one of the ladies if this item was silver. She stated that it would be being listed at that price. I did attempt to Google it while there but not much came up. After paying the $165 and getting it home and having an expert have a look at it to find out it is EPNS. To say I am fuming is an understatement! They are getting donations, selling it at more than retail prices, then who is benefitting from this? The needy? No. The homeless? No. The donators? No. St Augustine Church? Absolutely. Where does the money go to from there? Id love to know. But I'd hate to be in need and have to buy items from this so called "opportunity" shop. Disgusting, profiteering and uncharitable rip off artists!”
“This is a great little wander but I would put it more as a second hand store with its prices. Some great items, but mostly quite pricey.”
“Aggies ‘opp’ shop needs a wake up call. They’re either a boutique, selling at vintage prices, still benefitting from being a ‘church’ meant to ‘help’ people. Then why are the prices of your stained, used, second hand bags, MORE expensive than brand new outlet prices? Are your staff aware that eBay prices are not indicative of price the item was sold at? They must look at price sold at, and adjust accordingly, to be cheaper than online. Otherwise they need to start an online ONLY store, as these are the prices they are trying to achieve. The same stock from 9 months ago is still there. It’s not being moved. Wake up. You’re meant to be helping the people in this time of need. Not extorting us. Disappointed I can’t give 0 stars. This used to be a fantastic op shop, but after walking in and not picking up one thing for under $50, I am appalled. The ‘volunteers’ were googling prices at the front. Op shops are meant for those who cannot afford new clothing, the pricing here does not reflect that whatsoever. Teach the ‘volunteers’ to look at sold for price, not selling price. They need a wake up call.”
“Prices here are extortionate. This should be renamed to an antique store instead of an opp shop… I wouldn’t say there are any opportunities here. This shop used to be quite busy a few years ago when the prices were actually somewhat affordable. Now there is pretty much nothing below $15. They also split up all their crockery sets to individuals which is also terrible.”
“A great op shop to come and visit as they have a large selection of second hand items to have a look at and purchase. I personally like the fact they have a large selection of kitchenware and dinnerware, sometimes you get some high end brands mixed in aswell. Most of the items are good quality too.”
