“I was in store 3 weeks ago, when a couple of lovley people donated a large amount of goods. I noticed 2 beautiful old fur coats were donated, and asked the lady how much the coats were, she said between $8 and $10. I mentioned she may want to look at these as i feel they would charge more. On looking at the items, i was informed that a lady collects them and they were not for sale. I asked if i could purchase one, then i was told no they are sold. I understand volunteers have an opportunity and deserved when sorting through goods. In this case when items are donated for sale and a customer asks to purchase and is refused. I find this a bit hard to swallow! I did post this on Portland Community notice board, it was not made public and my follow up email as to why? Has no response. I discovered one of the members is also the lady who did not allow me to purchase either coat. Go figure!”

“Amazing staff except for one person, unfortunately that one person wrecks it for everyone. Not only is she rude, approaches people speak absolute rubbish about other people , she also seems to think it’s okay to use a community charity shop as a way to make big $$ on second hand and DONATED clothing.”

“Visited yesterday. The store needs to be moved to another location. There is clearly a mould problem from leaking pipe work that is visible in store. Store smells accordingly. Clearly know there is an issue as there is some attempt at putting containers out. Water on floor and on merchandise. Not safe for your workers or your customers.”
