Bloomhill Op Shop

“I moved into the area in April 2025 and have been a regular supporter of this op shop, donating hundreds of dollars’ worth of clothing, toys, and household goods, as well as shopping at the opposite store on an almost fortnightly basis. About a month ago, I purchased some items here for a future themed golfing party. The clothing was deliberately over-the-top and definitely not to my size or taste — in fact, one of the volunteers kindly spent about 20 minutes helping me find the most outrageous outfits for the occasion. Unfortunately, the party was cancelled over the weekend, so I returned yesterday to see if I could exchange the items for a store credit. They were still in perfect condition, with the original tags attached. I was rudely shut down without any discussion, even though the shop was more than happy to take the items back for resale. While I understand many op shops have policies around returns, the abrupt and unkind manner in which this was handled was deeply disappointing. I’ve always believed op shops should reflect generosity of spirit — not just toward those in need, but toward their loyal supporters as well. Sadly, this experience means I will no longer be donating or shopping here, and I would encourage others to think carefully before offering their support. For now, I’ll simply hope my past contributions help someone down the track — and not the uncharitable volunteers currently running the show.”

Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back to visit. Located in a quiet shopping complex with good parking available.”

“Very nice place but some prices are a little high . Older manager very rude and cranky when asked if I could get $5 or $10 off a dress from autograph for $20. As she responded it’s new ,we just got it !And we don’t do discounts here . My friend who purchased $150.50 asked for discount as well and she was snapping at her too.. I walked out leaving the item I wanted. I told her I am going to leave a review as I left. Since then I went back with the same friend. Now she looks at me and her piercing eyes frowning 😾 very rude imo .”
