“Last week I went in to donate some vintage sewing catalogues which came in folders and WERE in good condition only to have who may have been the manager of this particular op shop store, say to my face that she doesn't want them as they are icky (or scrapy) and yacky. Maybe next time you could be mindful and just say that they won't sell or your getting to many items. At the time I didn't respond as I was taken aback and very offended as these had been from a family member who had passed away and these catalogues were in immaculate condition. If they weren't, I would not have taken them to donate into any op-shop. I had been going to the Diamond Valley Community op shop every now and then when I'd go to the area to support the community and what it stands for, yet I will no longer show my support. I left the shop feel offended and heartbroken to have been told that to my face while I was still holding the box.”
