“I came in with a box of books from my late mother's estate. The lady (in a Freo beanie) was very short, barely looked through the top stack of books and said, "we are too busy from school holidays to take any more books. It's too much work for me" her literal words. No worries. Not like I called two weeks ago to ask about dropping them off or drove all the way from Joondalup to get there. My mother loved reading and read until she died of cancer. Amongst the collection are brand new Jodie Picoult books and others which she had purchased in the last two years before she passed away. There are older Enid Blyton books and little golden books from our childhood and many many others. The borderline rude lady told me to just throw them in the recycle bin, and then when I asked if I could use theirs as I had come all this way, she said no. Horrible and distressing experience. As someone who inherited my mother's love of books, I will never shop here again and I will encourage all of my friends to stay away from this nasty place as well.”
