“Nathan and Ross from the Goodwill pickup team were incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. They made the process of moving my aged parents' possessions much easier, ensuring that valuable items found a new home while supporting a great cause. While some items, such as electrical goods, imperfect mattresses, and nearly new furniture, couldn’t be donated, they efficiently collected clothing, books, kitchenware, and wall art. Everything needed to be boxed up in advance, but their professionalism and kindness made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend their service!”
“Had a great deal on DVDs (just double check all discs are there). Friendly staff and well organised. Great deals on clothes too.”
“Worth checking out if you’re looking for furniture! We found a pair of HUGE bookshelves in great condition. Having the option of getting them delivered was very helpful! Delighted with our purchase. Thank you!”
“Manager in the sailor hat is a straight up rude piece of garbage (which actually fits with the theme of the shop). Her inflated self-value is consistent with the over-pricing of the shop items, given that they're basically rubbish. They don't accept legal tender (cash) and I'm not even sure any profits go to charity. Honestly, you're better off going to K-Mart where you can get same/similar prices for brand new products.”
“Disgraceful. Their pick up service is a joke. After being told they would arrive between 9.30am and 3.30pm with a call half an hour before, I finally had a call at nearly 4pm that they were already at the property. They went to do another pick up then finally returned an hour later. The guy (Aaron) walked in and immediately said "we dont take beds" despite having told the person on the phone who booked the pick up twice that there was a bed, and also seeing facebook posts of beds in their shop. He then proceeded to wander around the apartment into other rooms uninvited, saying nothing, looking down his nose. When my mother asked why they came if they had no intention of taking anything (she was somewhat frustrated after having to wait all day unable to do anything else waiting), he told her she was being rude and left. I understand these people are probably volunteers, but if you're too busy thinking about where you're heading for drinks after (clearly that's what he was dressed for, not moving furniture), then just don't offer your time. He was intimidating and rude to my elderly parents and its not acceptable, volunteer or not. Take your charity elsewhere, Goodwill clearly don't appreciate it. All our items were in excellent condition, and from some of the stuff I've seen in the shop, they prefer rubbish.”
