“Such a crazy good record shop. When I’m in Melbourne, I make an effort to visit as many record shops as I can. I find it highly interesting the catalogue each of them stock. Commonly, I walk into a record shop and realize quite quickly that everything is curated towards one or two particular genres which is not the case here. I was shocked at some of the things I was able to find and the wide range of genres that are held in stock here - it is quite amazing. The only letdown was the customer service I received, which in my opinion was a little bit nonchalant. I was able to find two records quite serendipitously and I think this is the beauty of record stores in general. It’s simply the luck you have on any given day. You never know what you’ll find. Highly recommend. 10/10”

“Sometimes I order my vinyls from Heartland Records Their prices are really good compared to other stores. Because I live in Melbourne and they are Melbourne based store, when orders get shipped, I end up receiving the next day which is also great”

“Discovered this place two or three years ago and have been a semi regular ever since. Decent selection (if not a bit obvious) at fair to reasonable prices. Love their metal and soundtrack sections especially. Loses half to a whole star for customer service though. Dude behind the counter might try being a little friendlier and less stand-offish when confronted with chit chat. More than once, attempts at conversation are met with stony silence or indecipherable mumbling.”

“I stoped by this store when I was walking back from the Queen Victoria Market (another awesome place to check out!) to my AirBnB. I did visit this store before in the past but that was years ago. The store owner is really friendly and all the vinyls were neatly and carefully organised in different categories, depending on what you’re looking for. There’s also a tiny room in the back on the right of store where it has; -Boxes of $2 second-hand vinyls (3 for $5) -A shelf of DVDs & Blu-rays -Music magazines -Two shelves of CDs; mostly $5 each The DVD and Hank Williams cd are both in excellent condition with no scratches for a great price! Overall, I would definitely come back on a future trip if I’m in Melbourne again!”
