“I use this as part of my regular walk circuit rather than to shop. Some staff are wonderful but others weird as they wander around mumbling and singing. I support and thank lifeline by being the only recipient of my donations.”
“A lovely little op shop that is worth a visit, the staff are friendly and there are many things to rummage through.”
“Best place and cheap clothes comparing to other options shops. Friendly staff and good hearted people who runs it”
“I went in last week and something does not sit right with me. The minor problem is that I was overcharged $12 for 3 items. I paid $30 and left thinking .....wait .....how? But I was so in shock from my secondary and major problem that I wasn't focused on that. 2 middle aged Karen's, yes you acted like Karen's, one dyed blondish and one dyed brownish, and a younger male were elbows deep in a private conversation when I approached to pay. Being a long time customer who only visits once or twice a year, do not recognise these workers and was in a fantastic mood which was not matched by the trio who were more interested in their private conversation. They reservedly graced me a moment to purchase my 3 items but continued to discuss the topic of intense interest. The conversation was a lot of innuendo and smite towards a coworker who clearly wasn't present that day, over something silly but the group really wanted to pull this coworker to pieces over it. My presence took a backseat and I didn't feel good about any of it, for me or the absent worker. I challenge the Karen's this, DO YOU WANT TO WORK IN A LIFELINE SHOP? If so, why? What change are you trying to make on your community? You failed. And lastly, if you were concentrating, you might not have OVERCHARGED ME. I bought a book a jumper and a pair of black pants. 7 +7+4= 18 not 30. Maybe if you weren't focused on having a gossip session and I was served as a priority in the moment you wouldn't have ripped me off, and maybe if I wasn't made to feel so awkward by your gossip session I would have realised you ripped me off and said something. Save the gossip for the carpark, and revisit your purpose.”
“Nice open clean no frills store with quality stock. Prices are a bit higher than other opshops I visited whilst in Hobart but it's for a very good cause so fingers crossed it's all going to good use. Service was very good. Only qualm, which is a real pet peeve of mine, they have a stack of stuff at the front of the store they call the "vintage/retro section" however most of the items of interest are labelled Not For Sale (with large hand written signs that really detract from he displays). I think this is ridiculous, I understand they are making 'Shop Displays' but if they are for display only then the items are not indicative of anything that you can Actually Buy in the store anyway- if people are willing to purchase these items, they should sell them.”
