“Decided to give this op shop a try with my support worker today and we were not disappointed! I love all things craft, books, and clothes and I found plenty of all of those things here!! One of the best craft sections (especially for fabrics) I have found on the Gold Coast and so reasonably priced! Can’t wait to come back in the future ☺️”

“We visited the Op Shop this morning after not having visited for a long time & noticed changes in the Op Shop. What made our visit sad this morning was standing at the check out & the lady in front had a ladies top that had a $1 tag on it. The lady behind the counter we into a rendition with the other lady with her that the top was priced incorrectly & should have been $4 that she should be paying $4 for it & after realising the customer wasn't budging the sales lady said we will sell it for $1 because someone here put the wrong price it but ladies tops are all $4 for future. We felt the whole conversation was inappropriate.....the sales lady was lecturing the customer....we felt embarrassed for the customer. The tone of the sales lady was most abrupt & not a Christian kindness with smiles.....it was awful. Then the friend of the customer purchased something & after handed a card like a discount card or something & the sales lady abruptly brushed this away saying you have to spend $10.....again, we thought this was rude & embarrassing. We recieved customer service from the other lady which was not as abrupt but could have been kinder. We like to Op Shop love to support at the same time as receiving friendly customer service.....today was just horrible & for a Christian run Op Shop to be unkind like this goes against Christianity. Times are tough & living is expensive & it should be about helping everyone no matter the price. Today we were put off returning to New Life Christian Op Shop because they are too money motivated not people helpful.”
