“Sadly I have seen the behavior others have mentioned. It is well priced and lots of choice. Will only do $10 and above for eftpos ”
“Got in trouble for my child quietly and respectfully playing with the toys that we were going to buy? “Look at the big sign that says don’t play with the toys!”. I truly hadn’t seen it”
“I was in the Toowoomba store today with my son, we witnessed nothing but disrespect towards 2 Papua new Guinea children and there mother. The small children we looking at the toys when they were yelled at and told to not touch, then followed upstairs by this person and once again told not to play with the toys.. the mother explained that the boys were trying out a toy to buy and how would they know what they wanted with out trying... the lady told them they can look but not to touch or play... this is DISGUSTING behaviour from a so called MANAGER (LEA) this is meant to be a safe place somewhere to raise money and help for women and children but instead has probably caused stress apon this family. The mother of these beautiful boys thanked me for sticking by them while this occurred. THE MANGER SHOULD BE ASHAMED....”
“I visited your store today and was deeply shocked and disappointed by the behaviour of the store manager toward a Papua New Guinean woman and her young children. The manager followed them around the store and repeatedly told the children they were not allowed to touch any of the toys. The tone and manner were unnecessarily rude and appeared discriminatory. As a charitable organisation that claims to support women and children, your values were not reflected in this interaction. It was distressing to witness and raised serious concerns about how people from diverse backgrounds are treated in your space. I hope this incident is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. All women and children—regardless of their background—deserve to feel safe, welcome, and respected in your store.”
“I've been going to this place regularly but a few weeks ago was treated by staff like I was a nuisance and a shoplifter. It was confusing and uncomfortable Edit 18/6/2025 I had been shopping here regularly for around a year. On the afternoon in question I tried on some clothes then went to back to Iooking at the racks. A volunteer stared at me and stared into the changing room repeatedly like she was shocked about something. Her expression was very intense and strange. Her behaviour made me feel very uncomfortable. I overheard staff talking about the store security cameras picking up something 'it'll show on the video cameras if' I started to feel sick because I think they thought I was shoplifting. Another staff member announced the store was closing in a few minutes so I bought my items. I apologised for getting the time mixed up; I thought they stayed open for another hour. The woman at the counter was rude and I felt bad just for being in the store even though I wasn't the only customer there and genuinely had been confused about the time (just a brain fart). I haven't been back since, it was too bizarre and uncomfortable and made me feel like crap. I would have shown my bags if they'd asked to check them, but they didn't. I love op shopping so they have lost a regular customer.”
