“I purchased three “sealed” Pokémon booster packs from this store, only to discover they were counterfeit. Each cardboard packet contained nine loose cards instead of sealed foil boosters. Two of the packs even had Japanese cards inside, despite being sold in English packaging. After testing the cards, it was clear they were fake. When I returned the next day to request a refund, the owner refused. I paid $20 per pack, which is already more than double the price of authentic boosters. To then find resealed counterfeit cards and be denied a simple refund was unacceptable. This type of collective store model—where independent sellers stock cabinets but are never present to answer questions or take responsibility—creates an environment where unscrupulous dealers can thrive. The refusal to stand by the products sold has lost this store my trust and my repeat business.”
