“In the past few months I have donated many cartons of household goods, clothing and other items to the Salvos store in Oxenford, items no longer needed, having moved from interstate. The best I can say about the store is that it is clean and well laid out. As for the staff, that's a whole other matter. They carefully avoid eye contact at all times, especially if they see you struggling to get a large number of items into the store for donation. I was at the store today and there was a person rearranging shelves whose path I crossed a few times while I was looking around. Not once did he look at me, let alone smile or say hello. The same at checkout - very minimal engagement. I see other reviewers have had similars experiences. Does the Salvation Army take note and perhaps re-train their volunteer staff?”

“We wanted a suitcase yesterday to help someone out and took two to the desk as neither of them had a price. The young female assistant asked if we had taken the price tickets off as people did that to try to get things cheaper. It felt like an accusation. She then gave us a price off the top of her head for one, and when we asked about the other one which was badly marked and damaged, she snapped Oh that should not have gone out but if you want it it will be $5. She wanted us to pay for something they will throw in the tip. I've noticed over the last year it no longer feels a friendly place to shop and won't be back.”

“Fantastic store! It's very spacious and well set out. My daughter found the perfect pair of pants, exactly what she wanted.”

“Honestly my favourite op shop! Everything is reasonably priced and well organised. There’s some pricier items at this shop however it’s always priced accordingly to it’s condition and worth every cent! The only thing that’s a bit of a bummer is sometimes the flimsy price tags have come off and makes it confusing on pricing, it’d be great if there was potentially a price guide on the racks so it’s a little clearer. Otherwise, There’s some great bargains at the back and a great range of furniture and homewears. Love coming here to support this lovely op shop! Recommend everyone to stop in for a shop! Good job to everyone who works here! ☺️”

“Quite a large store. Very well set out and clean. Most of the racks are in sizing, to make it easier to narrow down what you might be looking for. Plenty of a variety of everything, including bric a brac, furniture, household items & clothing. They have a small section set up as boutique if you are more looking for high end clothing.”
