The store is always tidy and well-organised, with a great mix of clothes, homewares, books, and the occasional vintage treasure. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and there’s always something new to discover. Love supporting a place that gives back and keeps secondhand shopping affordable and fun!”

“Store closed at 2pm. My friends and I were at the store at around 10 to 2. We understand that the staff may have wanted to close early but it would have been nice for the them to communicate this to us. There were other customers also inside shopping. We waited at the door and the employees ignored us and then pointed their fingers at us. We were quite surprised by their rude attitude. It’s such a shame to see an organisation that is supposed to be about compassion and community service treat people with such contempt. Will not be retuning to this store.”

“Honestly, the best opp shop I’ve ever been to. The ladies working there are beyond lovely and helpful, the best of the best, and the deals are incredible. I walked out with two pair or paints for my husband, 4 books, and an armload of kids clothes and only spent $20. My new favourite little store.”

“🛍️ Salvos Store Cessnock located on Vincent Street is a spacious, well appointed ‘opp’ which is a delight, to visit with huge range of quality clothing, books, decorations & small items of furniture. 🛍️ As you enter through the ‘boutique’ that offers more high end retail then on to ‘regular’ items, that have weekly discounts there is so much to rummage through to find a special something. 🛍️ As a regular here, at this location, ALL of the team are genuinely lovely, from the customer service, to the way they take pride to present the store, and the treasure trove it has to offer is really noticeable. 🛍️ A special mention to the creative license with the displays, next level, carefully curated by Store Manager (Erin) who loans personal treasured wares for full effect, no wonder there ‘display only’.”
