“Was told to visit here as it was really big. Disappointed to say the least. Volunteers follow you around as though you’re stealing! Staff looked like they’ve never had a break, no acknowledgment to customers as they shopped. Heard a staff member bragging about how much money they make🙁 A customer asked if they could get a better price as an item was slight damaged and he was told that someone else will buy it full price so no! They had a basket full of stuff! Needless to say the basket was left on floor unpurchased and customer walked out. Great business accumun!! Probably lost a customer there. People know that they can shop around right? Vinnies is across the road and is cheaper and friendlier! try to support salvos as they’ve helped me out but it’s amazing to see the difference in how the stores are run. Unpleasant experience all round. Remember people, not all salvos are the same! Some are really great so don’t be put off by the ones that ruin it!”
“Staff are generally great help but the prices are what stopped me coming here, big chain op shops are becoming "premium reseller shops" pricing from ebay resellers when they get all of this for free and the people suffering from the cost of living wouldn't even be able to afford a new jacket for the winter! its a shame to hear people walking out of the shop saying kmart is cheaper and i agree.”
“Salvos has lots of second hand things like toys and clothing but the best thing was the old, retro DVD’s arranged like a library at the back of the shop with furniture crowding it but the best part was the value of the DVD’s and the prices were like $1 and $2 for these insane retro DVD’s. There was also a library of books stacked in the corner dusting up. Pokémon was the real reason I went to these shops but they didn’t have any so I gave up but the lady at the register said there was some maybe in the BACK...”
“There’s lots of used products and some are new. Some are the staffs are friendly others not so much. The lady told me, You can become a member here if you are regular and every $100 purchased you will get $5 for the next purchase”
“The people are very very nice here and help you with all your queries. Good way of recycling and making earth a better place to live.”
