“This is one of my favourite op shops in my area because it's big and there's always something good there, especially shoes and jeans. However, prices have been going up recently and I'm finding items that are priced really close to or more than original retail price. This is especially the case on a lot of items from SHEIN or Boohoo, which, by the way, make up a lot of the store's stock. I also collect CDs and I find that Savers has the worst quality second hand CDs for a higher price than what you would find in Salvos. I bought a double CD for $6 only to find that the first CD wasn't even in the case. There's a pretty big collection of music and books and not all of it is bad quality but the store isn't really taking the time to price the poorer quality items properly. The self-serve checkouts are pretty dodgy as well and I would much rather be served by an employee. Still, this Savers is one of my favourite stores, and I managed to get a huge bundle of clothes recently for only $50. I just hope the prices don't get much higher and that they take better care of their music stock.”
“I'm really sad to post this because I'm a regular at Savers and I love it. There needs to be greater monitoring of the disabled change rooms. I'm a disabled person who uses a walker and today at your store, people with prams were using the disabled change room, making a huge mess with coat hangers and left behind clothes, and their children were leaving food rubbish behind. I waited 15 minutes for the disabled change room and out comes a woman with a pram who doesn't even acknowledge me - every single other change room was free for her to use. I went to the main desk to ask your staff to help me and they were less than helpful. They even said to me "Yeah, that happens all the time". They suggested that they speak to management and reimplement their policy that the disabled change room be locked and only accessed upon request - this is a very good idea and, after my terrible experience today, necessary. Just as soon as I had spoken to the people at the desk, another man with a pram went in to the disabled change rooms. Your staff saw this, and did nothing to help me. They just stood there. I had to yell across the store "Excuse me, these change rooms are for disabled people" and he gave me a lot of attitude for it, it was quite frightening. I then finally got into the change room and I completely broke down. This should never have happened to me. Your staff need to do better for disabled people - I shouldn't have to have an argument with a stranger just to use a change room, and I certainly shouldn't have to do your staff's jobs for you. I probably won't be back until I can see some change in this respect.”
“some things can be pretty overpriced for what they are but depends on the item. overall a pretty good store”
“Well organised recycled goods and clothing. I am frequently looking for safety boots in good condition for work and can usually find some within a couple of weeks with a weekly visit to the store. Today I bought a toasted sandwich press for $5 as well as a logitech webcam for $5 thar I don't actually need.”
“There is a lot potential here, a huge shopping space, variety options. And spacious shopping place Friendly and supportive staffs! Most important good value for community. Sometime personally when I visit op shop is not all about low price, sometime when I visit. Op shop I feel relax and be inspired.
