“I brought in over 40 pieces and rented the space for 4 weeks. When I dropped off my items, the staff mentioned that they expected the items could potentially sell for around $2,000, so I felt the 4-week rental fee was reasonable based on that expectation. However, the final result was extremely disappointing. After deducting the 4-week rental cost, I only received around $100 back. What makes this more frustrating is that this return came from items including a brand-new Hermès bracelet, an Acne Studios sweatshirt in 95% new condition, Tod’s shoes, an Isabel Marant Étoile sweatshirt, an RF knitwear piece, and some other good conditions stuff!!! Many of these items could have realistically been sold for around $80 each on Facebook Marketplace, so the return I received felt far below what I expected after trusting the store with my pieces. I’m also disappointed because one of my Acne Studios pants was returned in a noticeably stretched-out condition, as if it had been tried on repeatedly. I provided all items in very good condition when I handed them over, so receiving them back in this condition was upsetting. I can see that the team is putting a lot of effort into running the store and organising in-store events, and I appreciate the work behind it. However, from a seller’s perspective, the business model and the final outcome were unfortunately very disappointing, especially for my higher-value pieces. It has been almost a month since this experience, but I still feel disappointed whenever I think about it. This is honestly one of the transactions I regret the most this year.”
