“I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this little opshop about two weeks ago. My little ones played quietly while picking toys out- and I browsed. I found a few items in their discount rack that I liked, plus the kids found some toys they thought were great. One of the kids needed to use the bathroom (we were told they didn’t have one) no worries. Everything was going well until it came to paying for the items. The lady refused to give me the “discounted” items (saying someone must of put them there) and even the items that had the correct tag or whatever she still wanted to charge “full price”. I ended up saying we will just leave them then as the amount of $$ was already rather high (for an opshop)- I’d like to note that they have a sign to say they aren’t taking any new donations- so you would think they would want to clear items- not keep them 😅 I asked the kids to quickly pack away any toys they had played with that we werent taking with us - which they did no issue. Then the lady told them to do it as well- which wasn’t an issue but they were already doing so wasn’t needed. Then to top the entire experience off as we were leaving the kids were excited about their “new” toys and being vocal…. She SHHH’D MY KIDS!!! She actually SHHHH’D them 🤦‍♀️. I never thought I would ever be in a situation where i’m leaving a negative review for an opshop- but here we are. I sat on it for two weeks, but the entire experience has left me rather uncomfortable. I’m not saying don’t visit- it is after all- an op shop. I’d suggest not having high hopes for “bargains” or “great customer service” there are none here.”
