“Every time myself or my partner have come here the older lady's working here are always so rude and give weird looks, especially 2 times we came 30mins before closing and 10mins before they will tell us and then 6 mins before they did it to me again standing by me following me and saying the register is closing now but there was like 5 other people shopping and they did this to my partner last time. Is it because I was the only brown person there? Or was it that I was dressed down in casual clothes since I'm just walking up the street? What was it that makes you keep doing this 🤔 i have Volunteered in an upscale op shop before and if anyone of us didn't have smiling face and great customer service we would have been moved on, 3 years and still the same people acting the same way, even before when I came with my pram and I wasn't even in anyones way, she just wanted to specifically walk past me to go around a spot she could walk another way from, she just stood there staring at me really angrily!! Umm you can say excuse me or have a conversation with me like you do with others so easily, what is wrong with me? I went without my child, just trying to have an hour or so break along bay st on my own and left Vinnies feeling like I'm going to bawl my eyes out yesterday and just felt like I hated my own body, my own skin and everything I was wearing, I just felt like scum of the earth for no reason..even at the register was made like I was lying when I said 1 item were from a clearance basket when she responds "its whatever its marked as" grumpily. I remember ever 6 months or so why I dislike going out around Bay st, many businesses like this around, they make my experience of spending my own money feel like I'm forcing them to give me something for free. I'm so glad there is slowly some more younger and diverse cultures etc of people working around now, hopefully vinnies will follow along, they are giving St Vincent's De Paul a bad name and i don't think the Catholic society needs anymore of that”
“Normally this store is great, but there is one lady who works there that is extremely rude. She can make you feel horrible with the way she communicates. All the other staff are great.”
“The new manager has made great improvements to this Op Shop, just as she did when working at the little one in Albert Park. The shop feels brighter, fresher and cleaner and the quality of the stock much higher. Definitely the best value and my favourite on Bay Street.”
“The choices of clothes seem endless and the new setup is so much easier to navigate. The lady with the pink who served me was an absolute gem and was super helpful in assisting me to find what I was after. Keep up the good work!”
