“Brought in a sypo bird today but unfortunately bird past away when we got to office it was sad but we had lovely people and there nice kindness understanding I differently rated wildlife welfare organisation 10/10 thankyou”
“I visited the Victor Harbor Op shop a couple of times with my client who has a disability and is in a wheelchair. We also bought some items to support their cause. Until we were ‘welcomed’ ‘with “OH NO! NOT THEM AGAIN! WE HAVEN’T GOT MUCH ROOM HERE!.” This upset my client (who is not able to talk or walk) and we left immediately. I contacted this organisation via email to let them know about this incident but with NO RESPONSE. I’m feeling very disappointed in this organisation as they did not respond to my emails which makes them seem like they accept this treatment of customers from their staff. I am grateful that most people in this world understand the many challenges and obstacles for people living with disabilities and we don’t normally get treated like this. I am shocked that this discrimination has been accepted and allowed by people in charge of the organisation as it’s clearly against the law. Victor Harbor has the second highest rate of elderly people in the country. Many of them use walking aids and wheelchairs, are they welcome in this shop or is this treatment exclusive for people living with disability????”
“We had a possum caught in our roller door and wasn't sure how to get it out, so rang this organisation in Goolwa to get some advice. The rude woman on the phone told me to " just remove it then". She then asked me what I wanted her to do about it as she is a "possum expert and not a roller door expert". I ended up hanging up on her as I was shocked as to how rude and abrupt she was showing no care or concern for the possum or me.”
“We found a wounded parrot on the side of the road, called up Justin who was very knowledgeable, caring and appreciative. Justin offered to assess and care for the bird, and we felt we left him in good hands. They are fully self funded and take donations.”
“I had a great time looking through their Op shop. Found a few things I love. Fantastic prices.”
