“This is my favourite oppie. It's DAM expensive for an oppie - but there are usually garments in here that are top quality from excellent brands. Almost every item is steamed before it is hung up and everything is neat and orderly. It's not a 'treasure hunt' experience like many others, it's a way to get top quality items for cheaper.”
“Shocked with the prices?! $48 for a little china bowl, $68 for a shirt! The ladies did not once greet me, they only seemed to greet and talk to white rich looking women. And just for the poor customer service I put a shirt back and thought stuff ya! I feel like this day and age, with the cost of living, it’s absolutely cruel to be ripping people off like this in a thrift shop. Should be ashamed for charging those ridiculous prices.”
“I arrived at 4:20pm to drop off a bag of clothes from a big clear out. I checked and Red Cross didn’t close until 5, the door was locked I waved and knocked and the 2 ladies inside gave me a dirty look and unlocked the door and practically ignored me. I asked the other lady if they are closed confused.. they said « well we aren’t now but u can have 10 mins to look » I advised just dropping clothes or for them and then she perked up and seemed a tiny bit apologetic. Wish I took my nice clothes somewhere else! Not a nice experience at all made me feel like an inconvenience!”
“Love this op shop. If you NEED charity don’t go here but if you want to GIVE to charity then this is a must! Yes it’s a bit more expensive as far as op shops go but if you’re in need just don’t go here. If you are in need or struggling then visit the Floreat Salvation Army op shop which sells cheap things $1-$3. You can dress yourself etc for super cheap there. This op shop is just catering to a different market reflective of the location, selling high quality pieces and aimed at people willing to pay a bit more for fancier pieces and prices reflect this (but still cheap for this sort of item). People donating good quality designer items want their items to raise good money for good causes and not just to be given away. No one in need needs a brand new guess jacket so they make a good business decision and sell for a price that reflects the item and raises money to keep great programs running. You can get brand new guess, cos, louis vuitton etc items for $25- $80 which is still amazing for that type of item and raising money for great cause. I have got high quality pieces here, designer items and 100% linen etc . It’s amazing if you value brands and quality. I’ve found my best designer items in here. So, If wanting cheap prices don’t visit here and don’t complain about an organisation that do great things, just visit another branch not in Cottesloe! If wanting work wear, designer items etc this is a great place to pop into. Staff are so friendly and welcoming too.”
“The staff are friendly and the clothing are all excellent in quality - but the pricing doesn’t seem justifiable. It is the most expensive thrift store that I have been to.”
