Hunt 4 Hope Op Shop

“I love this opshop. It’s a true country town op shop with lots of niknaks. They have a great range of everything. Sometimes I buy nothing. Other times I’m buying half the store. That’s what I love about this shop. The staff are always nice to me.”

“Favourite op shop in Maroubra! Love coming in once a week and finding all these affordable goodies, especially the $1 rack 🤩 Very lovely staff and a pleasant space to visit❤️”

“After being a regular contributor to this charitable organisation, I had such a terrible experience today that I will never go back. The fact that the shoes I purchased fell apart is not the issue, that was only the surface. After two days the shoes fell apart as I was wearing them. They had clearly just been glued together as could be seen once the sole detached. I was in the middle of no where and had nothing else to walk in, so was forced to buy another pair to get by. I came to the shop to show her and explain what happened, that I had purchased cheap shoes because of financial hardship and ended up having to buy another pair out of desperation as these ones fell apart. The shop owner, an angry red haired woman, yelled and abused me in front of a shop full of people telling me that there are no refunds. I told her I wasn’t looking for a refund, I was happy to leave the $7 but perhaps I could use it as credit. She slammed her fists on the table, and when I went to take a photo of her as proof of her aggressiveness she snatched my phone away from me. She was beyond rude, venturing from aggressive into dangerous. Incident has been reported to huntingtons. Recommend you stay away from the shoes section at the very least, but generally don’t think a woman of that nature should have the right to use a charity to hide behind.”

“Great thrift store - lot of womens clothes reasonably priced and so much cheaper than salvos! There's also a decent amount of mens, shoes, books! At the front they have designer and vintage pieces as well as a bargain rack!”

“As a larger fellow, I appreciate a place that sorts their clothing by size! Having access to cheap, comfortable and well fitting clothes isn’t easy on a budget, so Hunt 4 Hope gets 5 stars for making the search easy and accessible :)”
