“This store is NOT in Ipswich!! PLAINLANDS is not in or even part of IPSWICH. In fact it's a 30min drive away.”
“Trid to donate a clean pair of brooks shoes hardly worn new worthy over $250 and a lightly dusty pair of sketchers also valuable only to have old chap there literally pick the bag up and throw them at us saying they aren't the dump .. Last time for me .. I had also donated three stuffed bags of brand new dresses and clothes from online . I must be awful hey”
“If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely disgusting prices. Picked up an asos skirt ($25) it's a crappy cheap clothing brand. They have no idea what they're doing. And are only interested in making target for the month so their managers can get their bonus. I try to only buy second hand and every lifeline I've been into is the same. Old deteriorated dirty stock. Lots of broken things being sold. Stained and ripped clothing for $10 it's absolutely sickening. Lifeline are frauds. They are a big corporation who use suicide prevention as a guise to rip already struggling people off. The prices are for not to help in suicide prevention it's for their managers!! DO NOT SHOP AT LIFELINE!!!”
“A nice store with lovely staff. Pricing seems fair on most items. My only complaint is that most things I would like to purchase are marked “not for sale”. I do understand not selling shelving and tables etc to display products on, that makes sense, but you just have random items all over the shop on display that say “not for sale”, like wall decor, vintage suitcases and other items that have clearly been donated to you, Anything that’s desirable and donated it looks like you decide to keep for shop display. It’s not just a couple of items, there are so many. You are the only lifeline store I’ve been into that seems to do this and seems more worried about your shop looking nice than actually selling the items donated to you.”
“Pricing at any Op shop, particularly Lifeline shops is always a contentious issue. Also the overheads of running this new shop in a new shopping centre with such a large floor space (and applicable rent and percentage of takings) is obviously going to eat into any financial benefit. But will higher prices turnover stock or will I see the same clothing and other items weeks after with the same price tag? Perusing CDs and DVDs that I do when visiting any Lifeline, this store is not going to sell heavily scratched discs.”
