“I had a similar negative experience at this store like many other reviewers. The owner clearly didn't want me in the store, stating that it was very high end and not to touch anything as soon as I walked in. She also gave a sarcastic "bye" as I was leaving. I don't know how this store is still in business with her behaviour.”
“We had a similar experience to the other negative reviews. The owner was condescending and then outright rude, particularly to our 13 year old daughter that has a growing interest in vintage fashion. The fact that a small number of people have had very positive experiences suggests the owner is very erratic with possible mental health issues. Whatever it is, it’s definitely not worth visiting, even if some of the stuff is nice.”
“I recently visited this store in Kingston with my daughters, intending to browse and possibly buy a few items. Unfortunately, the experience was horrendous. The shopkeeper fat-shamed one of my daughters and then insisted that my very skinny daughter wouldn't fit into a petite dress because it was made in the 1960s. She discouraged us from even looking at it. Despite wanting to buy several items, the shopkeeper manically claimed various pieces weren't available and insinuated that I couldn't afford them. Her erratic behaviour and obsessive attachment to every single piece in the store suggested a severe mental health condition, possibly a hoarding disorder. It seems she needs to display the items but can't bring herself to sell them. Regrettably, I did purchase one item, but I will certainly avoid this store in the future. The shopkeeper’s conduct was entirely unacceptable and ruined what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience.”
“Seems many other people here had a similar experience as I did. I was visiting for a week from out of state for a friend's wedding and was staying near this shop and thought it looked cool, I went in to look around and after a couple of minutes the owner started to become quite rude and insinuated that I couldn't afford anything in the shop and was eventually told I should leave. I gave 2 stars only because the store does have some interesting stuff as long as you can get past the owner's rudeness.”
“If you want an experience like no other you need to go here. I and a few friends from interstate had been to the local supermarket on our way back to the car we decided to pop in and have a look. I didn’t have my hand bag with me at the time and had my mobile with an unopened bottle of drink. I was making my way through when I was presented with a lady who told me I couldn’t have the drink in the store, I explained it was not opened and I wouldn’t be drinking it in the store she then proceeded to take the drink out of my hands then placed it on a shelf l. I expressed I wasn’t comfortable leaving my drink. This I believe was the owner replied we are a high end vintage store with $3000 items. I collected my drink and left. Extremely poor Customer Service and communication skills. This store was very cluttered, if you are wanting to maintain the “High End” phrase review your shop layout and attitude with no price tags, it seems you just make it up as you go and hope for the best.”
