“Family member was treated with great disrespect by the guy there, insulted for wearing fast fashion that ‘produces micro plastics when washed and pollutes the environment’, and that there is no point buying from op shops because they are full of these fast fashion pieces and synthetic materials,which I find very rich to be criticising when selling a plethora of 1960s + era clothing made using materials like polyester nylon and rayon that became very popular in that time and are made from guess what? PLASTIC and guess what they do when washed? SHED MICRO PLASTICS. As someone who is very passionate about vintage and clothing sustainability I also went to the instagram page following this incident. What do I find? Modern Gildan and other printed tshirts being sold as ‘vintage’ when they are made from cheap mass produces MODERN cotton polyester material, which could also be referred to as FAST FASHION. I say check yourself before criticising and making personal attacks on people who didn’t ask for your opinion and have some respect.”

“Major shoutout to Retro Metro, Best vintage store I’ve ever been too! Had such a great and inviting experience here, so much help and excitement from the owner and their other employee. She helped me sort through all the jeans until I found the perfect pair. Not mention the prices are easily to say, generous! I bought so much stuff which usually would stress me out but I felt so confident with everything I bought because I knew I was getting my moneys worth. I’m from Adelaide but will definitely make time on my next trip to Brisbane to visit this store again. 🥇”

“Came into this store. Asked what I thought was a simple question to bloke behind counter. He greeted me very harshly. My friend and I both walked out immediately and we were both in agreement, what a complete ‘Dick’ the guy working here is! This guy has a big chip on his shoulder and takes it out on paying customers. NO way am I giving my hard earned money to this place and neither should anyone else! Shame on you Retro Metro Paddington! Do better… Be better ✌🏻”
