“Randomly decide to close early at 1:30pm on a 30 degree day, yet there are employees in the warehouse and store still working? Not even a sign put up or the gate closed to communicate an early closure. Not great overall, although there is a decent range of furniture and toys. Variety with clothing is horrid though. Lots of junk and things have sat their for close to six months. Needs a nip and tuck.”
“Arrived at 4:30 after travelling 40 minutes just to be told rudely that they were closed. When I said google says 5:30 he made up some crap excuse about the power going out (lights were still on) and how they get “heated out” over 37’ when it was only 28? Really unimpressed. Was taking my senior mum there from Brisbane as it was recommended to us by our local salvos store.”
“Disappointing experience, overpriced items. You can get first hand products at a much cheaper rate. Not going ever again.”
“Don’t wash donated items before putting on the rack/lots of dirty items. Decent sized store though prices are quite excessive & a lot of items have defects/dirty/stains/ripped seams, I’m not sure if the effort is not going into looking over items before putting out on the floor but the audacity to price items so highly would insinuate item being in near decent condition. The fact these items are DONATED FOR FREE & you run off volunteers(who you don’t pay) but think $7 for a basic ANKO tank singlet riddled with pilling is reasonable. Would definitely recommend looking over your pickings very closely BEOFRE paying for/leaving the store. I paid $100 for two formal dresses and both had ripped chiffon/tulle which is not an easy fix & would have not bought had I known along with a few other items that had stains.”
“overpriced..$25 for 5 dinner plates massive rip off. all the other op shops are half the price of what these people are charging. They also never happen to have wrapping paper for the glassware shop at own risk! Not shopping here again.”
