“I haven’t found any clothes here, but I’ve found some nice mugs, plates and ceramic bakeware. As someone looking for a bargain, they weren’t shockingly good bargains, but certainly better than buying new and I genuinely like them. :) I could say the same about the picture books. I also like donating here as they make it easy with the drive thru and give you a voucher if you like to opshop too”
“Savers Burnside, located at Shop 5, Cnr Chisholm Drive & Western Highway, Burnside VIC 3023, is one of the biggest op shops in Melbourne and one of my favourite places to spend an hour or two treasure hunting. The store is huge, with rows upon rows of clothing, shoes, handbags, books, homewares, kitchenware, toys, electronics, and furniture. There's so much to browse that every visit feels different, and it's easy to walk out with something unexpected. I especially enjoy looking through the homewares and clothing sections. Whether you're after everyday basics, vintage pieces, brand name bargains, or something unique, there's always plenty of stock to choose from. The book section is also worth a browse, with shelves full of novels, cookbooks, and children's books. The store is clean, well organised, and easy to navigate despite its size. Taking your time really pays off because there are hidden gems tucked away throughout the aisles. Overall, Savers Burnside is a fantastic op shop with an enormous range, constantly changing stock, and plenty of bargains waiting to be found.”
“I enjoy going to Savers however I think some items are overpriced. This is fine for some people who will just pay stupid prices for some things but for those who actually NEED bargains....??? I have noticed that op shops have forgotten the the meaning of their existence. They are for a bargain. I understand it when it's an antique or retro item, but for a saucepan or a container??”
“Savers has always been great. Since the 1990's until now, fantastic! My 17year old daughter is loving it just as I did when I was a teen (as too are my boys) 😉 Can usually get a bargain, however I will say this; Thrift store/Op shop prices are wayyy overpriced!!! It's supposed to be a place where you can go and not need much money. There were 2 pairs of shoes we wanted but they were both $30... I think it needs to be corrected. It would be nice to have that comfort in knowing you can get some clothing and not be too broke to afford it. Soooooo much to choose from, so honestly prepare yourself to be there a while.”
“Love savers! It's like a giant treasure hunt inside. Almost everything you can think of. I like when they have specials like 50% off clothing. I recently discovered they have a drive thru donations dropp off area. Making it so much easier to donate. Knowing that the items are going to be treated with care and not dumped in a donations bin where it could break or soil. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Try it your self!”
