“My go-to for clothes now. Easy, great quality and excellent choice. Easy to shop by Brand, size, style, etc. I have not bought a 'brand-new' item since I discovered SwapUp - but I have found many brand-new items complete with tags on SwapUp. About to start selling with them too - fantastic. Somewhat dangerous and, as my partner says, 'you could go broke saving money' ;) - but seriously, budget-friendly, top-quality fashion.”
“Great experience as a seller so far. Whilst it was $50 to ship 20 items, I understand that they need to cover their costs to ship, process and post the items online. The processing time was really fast compared to other online thrift stores (a couple of days compared to several weeks) and their listing prices were higher, meaning the payouts are reasonable. All of my items were accepted (again compared to competitors, that rejected brand new items with tags suggesting they were scuffed or marked) and their consignor portal experience is simple and efficient to use. I would recommend SwapUp over other online thrift stores to anyone looking to sell good quality items.”
“I was very surprised and pleased to find this store with good quality secondhand clothing. The concept of turning in good quality clothes and being paid back a portion if they are sold is great to encourage people to donate items of a certain level of quality to secondhand shops. This is the first shop of its kind I have seen in Sydney, and I grabbed a great bargain, saving over $100 off what would have been the original retail price. I will definitely be back and also will take some of my good quality items in as well.”
“Great concept. Better quality than the op shops for buyers. Store has a good layout and selection of items. It is however really only valuable for sellers if they have high value items and probably quite a few items to sell. I feel that the $50 fee is quite high considering that the business also takes a decent percentage of the profits when the item sells. I think since sellers items are the means for this store to be successful, that the seller experience could be reviewed. For me, it would have been easier and the same to just donate the items to the store. I didn't see any of my items listed online. I also overheard a lady asking the staff member why her items were not posted online. All of the items I collected had RRP tag prices significantly higher than what I had actually paid. When it's time to collect any remaining items, you are instructed to find them on the floor which is a logistic in itself. Thankfully, a staff member helped me. It seems though that my items were "out the back", so I had to make a return trip. I'd come back to shop but unlikely to sell again.”
“SwapUp’s grand opening in Sydney was fantastic! The shop offers a great selection of second-hand women’s clothing and handbags. The live DJ and free coffee added to the lively vibe, and it was packed with excited people. Highly recommend checking out SwapUp – stylish, sustainable, and a great addition to the community!”
