“As someone whom has managed successfull thrift stores in her retail career I have some feedback on how this store manager handled rejecting donations. The store is filled with Anko baby items and overpriced cheap toys, yet I was met at the front of the store when attempting to donate quality baby items. I understand what salable conditions are and I can also empathise that there are many reasons to need to reject donations. (To much stock, not enough staff or time etc). However, the attitude and nastiness I was met with was totally unessasary. I would strongly encourage people to donate elsewhere and support a store whoes manager has better demeanour. I encourage this manager to work on better communication skills. You can reject items kindly. Thank you to the other customer mum outside who was happy to take them off my hands. So glad that another little bub will be able to enjoy them instead of "going straight in the bin" - as quoted by the manager. This store and its management need a serious refresh.”

“As I entered I overheard staff complaining about customers finding the place too expensive for them, which would have been comical if it wasn't insulting and at this point I should have turned around and walked out. $8 for a tiny bag of buttons. A book that was falling apart was $5. Another had $1 on the inside and a sticker on the outside. I didn't see the sticker and when I was suprised by the price difference the lady serving was rude, particularly when I didn't want to pay $4 for it and said I would put it back. It was a misunderstanding because I didn't bother looking for a sticker once I saw the price written on the inside. Everything was very expensive in this store and I usually don't moan about opshop prices because I know the money goes to community causes, but this one was really high but also isn't upmarket to attract a certain clientele and the staff are really judgemental of their customers. There are great oppies in Geelong and if you are pressed for time this is the one to miss”

“Great little store. So nicely set out, you could honestly forget you were in an Op Shop. The prices were surprisingly on the lower end of the scale. Another thing I’ve noticed recently… how nice is it to have proper wooden doors with locks in the Change Rooms 😊 I walked over to the store but it seems they do have their own car park between the store and the church(?)”
