“Run by the rudest staff I’ve ever come across!! Was told to hurry up as they were closing (this was 15min before the advertised time) Was glared down whilst removing all the hangers off the 30+ item pile I was hoping to purchase. (Maybe help if you’re in such a hurry). Only be be groaned at when I realised they did not take card, this was advertised nowhere. I was not allowed to go to the atm next door, was instead told to be more response for my actions?! whilst having multiple staff members laugh at me and when I questioned them what was so funny I was told that I was a moron! By a man in his 80s! Honestly I’d say grow up but luckily you’re on deaths doorstep”

“Apparently at Uniting Church - “Everyone is welcome to share in our church community – regardless of age, race, nationality, religious affiliation, gender identity, sexual orientation, social background or ECONOMIC status.” The Shed Op Shop linked with this church does not practice their morals or values at all. Instead they pick customers out, make them feel uncomfortable and refuse services based on what they think their intent will be after purchasing their items. Being a bystander to this situation where I watched a customer get interrogated was the most disgusting sight to see. It made me question what type of people these volunteers are and loose hope. Yesterday I went to a different Op Shop and was delightfully greeted by a volunteer. We had discussions about resellers and he highlighted that the more resellers that come into his op shop the better. This is because more stock being bought = more money that can go back into the community. I think you should all take a hard look at yourselves and the type of people you are. 👎🏼”

“Over the last 2 years I have been donating to this op shop frequently as it was one of my favourites for bargains. Today when I was in, I was going to buy another 10-15 clothes. Before I got to the counter I was stopped and interrogated on why I was buying the clothes. The lady was very rude and told me that I wasn’t allowed to buy the clothes if it was for my business. (first I’ve heard of that in 2 years). When questioning why I couldn’t, she said that they were for people who “need it”. Why do they get to decide and discriminate against who needs it, especially when they don’t know anything about me? It is very clear that when you walk through those doors you are assessed and judged based on who you are and why you want to buy the items. There is always hundreds if not thousands of clothes in there and thats just 1 op shop. There is more than enough clothes for everyone so why would you deny a customer the right to purchase items when all the money goes towards the church and helping the cause? If you are truly only selling to those who “need it” why are you even selling it? Shouldn’t you be giving it away for free? My business donates over 50k per year to charity’s through buying pre-owned clothes from op shops. This helps the op shops and their causes. It also keeps clothes out of landfill, especially in 3rd world countries. Be very wary of this op shop now as you will be watched and interrogated if you are buying multiple different items. Hopefully they change it back to the way it was and see that they are only hurting themselves, the community, small business and the planet by not selling to certain people.”

“Very very cheap, great place, always a bargain, they understand the concept of donated items helping the needy, can't say the same for other op shops,,”
