“Today I returned two items that weren't suitable for use. One was a DVD player, the other a lamp shade. I specifically asked when I'd made the original purchases could I get a refund if they weren't suitable for my intentions. I was told that yes I could as long as it was within 14 days. It had only been a week. When it came to being refunded, not so easy. The assistance who was serving me said I could have store credit only(she was the same person who had originally served me) The manager was called upon and she was incredibly rude. I had paid $7 for the lamp shade and she basically told me I was lying about it's price. (I had removed the price tag not knowing I would have to return that item also.) I had a receipt and the lampshade was under brick a brack. I eventually got a refund but not until she made it clear that she wasn't happy doing so. Her entire attitude was disgusting and rude. Apparently they have a condition of refunds on the wall behind the register which I didn't see or read on my original purchase. But I did ask specifically and there was absolutely no mention of thiese conditions. My eyesight isn't gr8 so I had to stand at the register today and take a photo by zooming in on the poster. I suggest you put that poster closer to your customers instead of behind the register where it's not only too small to read but also obstructed from view by the assistances heads. I probably would have spent alot more in store today but for the way I was treated by the manager. And being too afraid to purchase something that may not work when I take it home. I have noticed that the volunteers working at registers in many Vinnies stores can be quite abrasive/rude. Money speaks volumes and even more so in second hand stores!! And finally, to Vinnies: be reminded that the items you sell not only come from donations from the community (of which I've also donated many ) but also spend as much as i donate so you are making a fortune off your customers. Everyone I know who shops at your stores donate and purchase large amounts. Your customer service should reflect your gratitude, not greed. I always leave a tip too. And that's coming from a pensioner.. not someone rich and measly!!”

“I went to this Oppie today. Beautiful staff and store set up. I had a bundle of goodies and one of the staff/ volunteers asked me if I would like another basket. What a gem x”
