“don’t recommend coming here with a friend as a teen unless you don’t care about being accused of stealing and being watched the entire time you’re there. don’t particularly blame the worker since these things might have happened in the past or they would rather just be safe then sorry but they did make me and my friend feel uncomfortable the entire time of us being there and also followed us out of the building. the store itself on the other hand did have some nice stuff tho”
“I called the call centre as I was in need of furniture assistance, I was given a call back after hours (close to 6pm) and was told to explain my situation to which I did, I was told they don't sell king mattresses but however downgrade to a queen. I explained I had a king bed base, I was told to then rearrange my room so it'll suit a queen (being a solo mother of 2 children who both have additional needs makes it a tad hard to just rearrange my room!) anyway I was then offered a $50 Vinnies voucher to buy a king bed and then told "oh $50 wouldn't help you in this case as we don't sell them! Look on Facebook market place or save up!" I explained that I have looked on Facebook market place but however I have no way of picking a mattress up & saving up is hardly possible being a sole income house on Centrelink due to being a carer for my children. I was then told "oh well." So much for being compassionate!!”
“My wife and I have been regular visitors to the Cranbourne Vinnies for at least the last 5 years. We regard it it as probably the best organised op shop we've ever attended but a key aspect that keeps us going back is big Anthony. He always stood out with his outlandish headwear. This prompted me to interact with him and compliment him on his head gear or joke with him to dress properly if he had no head gear on. He genuinely oozes personality and invites friendly banter which must be great for business - you just don't see such personality and friendliness like this anywhere. But lately he hasn't been wearing any head gear which is making this Vinnies store look a lot less special. This is therefore a callout to please encourage Anthony to start wearing the funny headgear again as I'm sure I'm not the only one missing it. Cheers.”
“One of the best. Great op shop & lovely staff. Super helpful. They have an enormous range of homewares, toys, books, puzzles, clothes & Christmas paraphernalia. As with all opshops there's a lot of anko stuff but if you spend a bit of time you can often find a treasure, mostly at a fair price.”
“have never had an issue here until today. pricing standards were misleading. I bought $200 worth of barbie dolls at $5 per doll they were bagged up and wrapped up so I could not see them in detail. I was happy with the price and was excited to get them home to clean them up and restore them. when I started opening up the bags I noticed some had price stickers on their legs or had the remains of a peeled off price sticker. some had multiple stickers over the original stickers. curiosity got the better of me and I peeled one back to find the original price stickered on the same day (7/10/2024) for these dolls were $2 not $5. when I called the store to let them know the pricing was a little misleading the person relayed the conversation to the manager but did not actually allow me to speak with them nor did they offer to take the call. I was told that dressed dolls are $5 and nude dolls are $2 some may have slipped through. there was no apology just a you will need to come back with the dolls so we can see what you are talking about. I decided it was not worth the drive back to be probably told that because I opened the bags I wouldn't get a refund. so I am leaving this review.”
