“Whittlesea Op Shop – The Heart of Giving! The Whittlesea Op Shop is one of the last true community gems. They genuinely care about people — always giving, always supporting, and always helping those in need. They go above and beyond, providing quality items to clients and making sure everyone feels seen, valued, and cared for. It’s not just an op shop — it’s a place filled with kindness, compassion, and community spirit. Thank you, Whittlesea Op Shop, for everything you do!”
“$5 Fill a Bag day. The cashier packed my bags and put 3 items of clothing in each bag and charged me $10. Not the economical community oriented opp shop it used to be. I guess the "conditions apply' sign at the door means something not in keeping with the spirit and purpose of $5 Fill a Bag Day. But I guess these days every charity and virtue signalling individual changes the meaning of common words and phrases to suit themselves and expects to get away with it. I commented that times had changed and was spoken to with harsh words and impatience so it was difficult to reassess my purchase in accordance with my $5 bag budget. I wont be going back here. Everyone is experiencing hard times with the cost of living crisis, including myself. This kind of attitude is just not cricket.”
