“no way this isnt run by a "for profit" like trash company (savers) they treat actual junk like treasure, they have broken scuffed up toys behind glass and chipped dirty kitchenware at higher than retail. a lot of the stuff in the store isnt even for sale even if you were interested”

“Some really great stuff to find here, very reminiscent of the pre-corporate op shop era. However, some of the staff can be really off putting and make you feel like you’re under constant surveillance.”

“Dropped off 3 bags of quality children’s clothing to be met at the door by a hostile staff member that made me feel like I was doing them the favour. Disappointing, will stick with the Salvos in the future”

“While the clothes in this op shop were reasonably priced I was (as someone who loves old kitchenware) put off by the massive display of old rustic kitchenware that is apparently someone’s “private collection” and not for sale and while I understand some of this collection may have been sourced elsewhere, it seemed obvious to me by the complete lack of any vintage kitchenware for sale that whoever owns or runs this up shop likely keeps every beautiful, vintage, kitchenware donation for themselves and their “private collection” which takes out the excitement and possibility of a customer ever possibly finding some precious old treasure themselves. How many vintage beaters and spoons does one really need? Perhaps this “private collection” should be stored elsewhere as it’s just a tease and quite deceptive to the average treasure hunting shopper.”

“My favourite op shop in Melbourne. I love visiting every week and finding a new treasure, the workers are such kind and lovely ladies who always make me feel welcomed. This is a true community opshop that doesn’t feel like a big corporation and I hope you stay here forever because forest hill loves you ”
