“The Red Cross Shop in the Bondi Junction pedestrian mall is an interesting and fun place to drop by as you never know what you’ll find. I often see designer and everyday clothes and shoes at great prices when dropping off my clothing donations or opportunistically walking past. Whilst the men’s clothing section in the front is not big, there is a large area catering for women and books and general items towards the back. Compared to the other local op shops, this Red Cross store seems to sell mostly better quality items. Whilst not a large store, it is clean, tidy and easy to navigate inside. Apart from picking up a potential bargain yourself, when you buy here you know the $ you spend go to supporting the amazing work of the Red Cross. I understand that 99% of the floor staff are cheery volunteers co-ordinated by a hard working and personable manager who brings her European charm to the store. It’s a WIN (supporting a good cause) – WIN (for you) – WIN (for the environment) to shop here : )”

“I’ve had some concerning experiences at the Red Cross Shop in Bondi Junction. I saw staff selecting items from the donation area for themselves, and one even wore a sweater they had just picked, which raises questions about proper donation handling. I also had an issue with pricing. A plastic ring was marked at $2, but the staff insisted it was $12 and even tried to hide the price tag, which felt dishonest. Lastly, the shop has a stamp promotion for purchases, but the staff have never offered it, despite the stamp card being visible at the cashier. It’s disappointing when promotions aren’t honored.”

“I SAID YES TO THE DRESS! Visiting from Queensland, I visited many Op Shops in the past week looking for a wedding dress. I was pleased to come across Red Cross Bondi Junction which had more and better options than others. And I said yes to this stunning Rachel Gilbert dress! The volunteers are very friendly and helpful especially since I was shopping alone.”

“The shop had a “designer” section with extremely overpriced items. I found a best & less shirt marked as $35 dollars when it likely wasn’t bought for more than $20, and is second hand rendering the price lower. The inability to price reasonably is shameful”
