“Incredibly expensive. Not much in store.”
“Me and my partner stop for a cup of coffee in the area we noticed the salvos and thought we’d have a look and thought it was a really nice store but at the checkout we were made to feel like the worst people in the world. We were spoken down to and treated very rudely. Like how dare we come and buy their items? I don’t understand we where like did so do something wrong? I will never come here again.”
“I’m a regular at op shops but boy this particular is easily the worst experience I’ve been to in years . I had a horrific experience two years ago and today I went in hoping the staff was different. Nope same rude , judgmental and worst service or lack of . My partner was ordered by the older staff member to pick up fallen clothing near the counter and he obliged even though he didn’t knock it or work there . I wanted to put my $170 spend on my loyalty account and the old staff member said you just pay and I’ll fix it. I questioned how this could be possible. And the manager was called who was equally rude about the whole thing just avoid the shop . There are great salvos out there but this has to be the worst !!!”
“Usually like to browse op shops. Also love shopping second hand to help things avoid landfill. But this location is horrific, definitely should avoid. Staff are all rude, judgemental and foul tempered. The products are all over priced. The apparel is often stained, and in very used poor condition. Not to mention cheap shein, cider and anko brands being marked up more expensive than buying new. The homewares are mostly chipped or cracked over priced garbage. At the counter they don't even offer to wrap up fragile ceramics in newspaper. When I asked for some to do it myself since she was so busy and had to run away from the counter, she gave me a single A4 piece of newspaper to wrap two ceramic mugs. Appalling. Also don't be caught taking photos of items you wanted a second opinion on or the harpy, which has been tailing you since you entered, will descend upon you and question why you could possibly need photos. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.”
“I was trying to do something good by donating my pre-loved clothes for the first time, but instead, I had an absolutely disgusting experience. The older female staff member I encountered was incredibly rude. She straight-up ignored my question at first, and when I asked again, she just pointed at the "Drop Here" sign and said "Oh, you don't read English?"—clearly making an assumption based on my Asian appearance. Such behavior is unacceptable and she needs a serious education, a real shocker!!!”
