“I submitted my item through What’s Worth, received a price range, and was told to come into the store within a week to receive cash. However, there was no mention anywhere in the instructions that I needed to bring a physical government-issued ID. After carrying heavy items for more than 50 minutes to get to the store, I was told they could not proceed because I only had my student ID and an electronic copy of my passport. Both were refused because they required the physical passport. If the physical ID requirement is so strict, it should be clearly stated during the online submission process or in the instructions provided to customers. Most people do not carry their passport with them everywhere they go. This resulted in a completely wasted trip and a lot of unnecessary effort carrying heavy belongings only to be turned away. The lack of clear communication was very frustrating and could have easily been avoided.”
