“Wow. Trying to donate to this revered charity group is really hard to justify. Reason: the incredibly hostile, sarcastic and rude staff. I have a call to offer donations.. phone eventually answered following 20 rings.. woman is clearly disgusted by my patience that took her away from her hard work(!). She crossly said “no way, nothing kitchen..” when I further asked about books, she asked: “I don’t know I mean what kind of books do you mean? We have books!” Bemusedly, I gave her the best idea of what I consider to be a novel and she cut me off “yesssss I do actually know what a book is.” Driving towards someone a bit more ahem charitable she wouldn’t even hang up she just mangoes kept yelling BYE.. bye. Yeah, bye”
“All of the ladys in there are rude and look down upon you. We got laughed at when we asked if they had records. We visit alot of op shops and this is the worst one we have walked into. I would not recommend this place to anyone.”
“I thought if you had clothes you wish to donate you could go to Red Cross to donate. I had so much clothes to donate - all were in really good condition. The lady that worked there came out with me and when she saw all the clothes I wanted to donate she was very rude and said s they couldn’t go through all that - that it was too much. Instead she quickly went through the clothes and picked at out the most expensive items and said she would definitely be able to sell these items. I didn’t bother arguing as I just wanted to get rid of the clothes. She didn’t even say thanks, just grabbed the 6-7 expensive pants and went inside. I after went to Vinnies and donated EVERYTHING and they were so happy for the donation. Just proves that Red Cross only cares about how much money they can make. Would not recommend this place.”
