“Over the past week, I have attempted to donate goods multiple times. While I understand and respect that the store can become full, I was struck each time by how kind, patient, and professional your volunteers have been in explaining the situation. However, my most recent visit left me extremely uncomfortable. Before I could even speak with the manager, I witnessed her shouting at her staff from her office. Her tone was aggressive, and she used language that was not only inappropriate for a workplace but completely unacceptable in any professional setting. It was loud enough that customers, including myself, could hear, and it created a very hostile environment. The way she undermined her staff in front of others was concerning. Volunteers deserve respect and support, yet it appeared they were being belittled instead. It is particularly disappointing to see this behavior in a workplace that relies so heavily on the goodwill and dedication of volunteers. From what I observed, the store environment felt disorganized, tense, and unwelcoming. The staff looked visibly uncomfortable, and it was clear the atmosphere was not healthy. As someone who values the work your organization does, it was upsetting to see a manager create such negativity in a space that should be supportive and community-focused. I want to stress again that the volunteers themselves have been consistently lovely, but the management I witnessed does not reflect the values or reputation your organization stands for. I hope this matter is taken seriously and investigated, as the behavior I observed was not only unprofessional but also damaging to both staff morale and the experience of customers and donors.”

“Best store I have been to in a long time. The hard working people there trying to keep up with the demand of people in need. Big store, obviously need more volunteers as it is a busy store and as soon as I saw a volunteer out items out, they sold. Either your looking for a vintage Collectable item, brand name clothing at an awesome price that you just cannot afford to buy new. A good book and somewhere to sit near the book section. My husband sat there waiting for me to finish. The time and effort they take to keep that store filled must be a mammoth job. Thank you for all the hard work. If I had spare time I would volunteer”

“For a store this big it is absolutely despicable it is only filled to 50% capacity. The stock is terrible, racks are half empty and what's out is overpriced 90% of the time. It has so much potential to be a fantastic thrift store but is just constantly the same crap product on the shelves. "Bric a brac" section is absolutely terrible, again they have so much space for so much potential. The toy section is by far the worst out of all of the thrift stores in Rocky. Five or six toys on the shelves (on a good day) that look like they have lost the will too live. Absolutely zero quality control. I refuse to go here anymore. Cheaper going to Kmart, Big W or Target. Pretty disappointing really. Maybe they can take a note out of Salvos Yeppoon book.”

“Honestly for a store this size I've constantly found with each visit nothing much changes, empty racks, same items been sitting on shelves for weeks on end, stretched, faded, worn out dated clothing, highly overpriced on nearly every item, it's almost getting to depressing to visit.”

“I really dislike having to leave a negative review but, would not like someone else to experience the same. Really happy with the wonderful ladies and staff in store, very approachable and friendly. Would give them 5 stars or more but the Men whom they have collecting donations in their truck, very unapproachable or friendly! I was sworn at and treated very rudely! Safe to say I would rather another charity in future to support while these very unfriendly men are working in their pick up service! I just hope they don't treat anyone else the same in the future, especially elderly!”
